Yes, we're having another little boy and we're excited!
(Lucas would be too if he really got what we were talking about).
I'll spare you the pictures that prove it!

Lucas's 2nd Birthday!

Last Friday, January 15, our cute little boy turned 2!

He had a couple of shindigs for his birthday.
The first was a little early at our cousin Shalece's house. There were lots of cousins and aunts and uncles and grandma and it was a party, complete with every Lightning McQueen thing known to man.

Lightning McQueen Book! Here he is clearly telling his sweet cousin Summer not to touch his book

Here he has relaxed because his uncles assured him she did not want his book.

Eating his cake. He really likes cake.So on his actual birthday, we went to hike in Red Rock with a bunch of friends but before we could even start, he fell down and cut his lip pretty bad. Here he was actually saying "Cheese" and attempting to smile. Very sad.

Here he is getting ready to blow out the candles again. We had a party for him and a bunch of his friends came over to play. That is Bryn behind him (you may have seen her in previous posts). (Also note the swelling in his lip went down.)
McQueen cake #2. Decorating almost exclusively courtesy of Jared.Opening his presents. It was hard to get a shot because everyone was so excited.

This one is from a different day. Lately he has been playing himself to sleep for his nap. But I thought it was appropriate here.

Christmas!

Wow, a lot has happened since I last posted and I feel bad it has taken so long. Hopefully I will be able to do better in the near future at posting our cute little boy's adventures.

This was just a few days ago. Lucas really likes his Lightning McQueen chair and has gotten very creative with it. He puts it on like this and then dives onto the floor. It's pretty funny (mostly because he hasn't hurt himself doing this yet.)

Christmas Eve wearing his Christmas jammies and cuddling with Daddy.
Mater Pancake (see previous post about McQueen Pancakes)

We raked up the leaves and Lucas loved running around in them. In fact, they have been raked up several times since this and they still haven't been bagged because he likes it so much.

When Jared's family was here we went up to Zion National Park one day and did a couple of hikes. This is at the end of one. It was cold, but very pleasant for the end of December. On Christmas morning, Santa gave Lucas a drum set with a harmonica and maracas and a tambourine. He loves it (and isn't driving us crazy with it either).

He is pretty good at the harmonica. He can also play several instruments at once.

Lucas's Aunt Chrystal made him an AWESOME Car's playmat for Christmas. The whole thing is handmade and a perfect replica of scenes from Cars. It has pockets on the side for his cars and whole thing rolls up so he can take it with him to play!He really likes it!

He also really liked all of the candy that was around. He loved all of his presents and Christmas in general. It was very exciting!
Ok, this is not Lucas's first time ever in the snow, but it is his first time in snow since last Christmas and it was his first time LIKING snow, which is a big deal.

His first time going down the sledding hill with Kobe (cousin). He climbed off and said, "Again."
Daddy and Lucas going down again. And again. And again.
See? He's smiling! He liked it!

Jared helped the boys build a snow cave. It was awesome and huge and the boys (cousins) all really enjoyed it! That's Chandler (cousin) with him who helped him the most and was very dedicated to completing it.New Year's Eve.
Lucas was asleep already because he wasn't feeling well.
Oh, and if you noticed the new baby ticker on the side. I'll get to that soon. I just wanted to get a post up! :)
