Such a cute boy

Here are some random shots of Lucas lately.

He knows that if mommy has the beaters out, that he wants to lick them when I'm done. This one must have been good because his stuck the whole thing in his mouth.

He brought me the salt shaker the other day and told me he wanted popcorn. He pays attention!

Jared and I went to see the Brad Paisley concert here in town and it was AWESOME. AMAZING. LOVED IT!

Spring is in the Air

It has rained a lot in the last few weeks here in Vegas (as in we have more that doubled our annual rainfall already just in the last 6 weeks) and now that the rain seems to have passed it is beautiful, 65, and cool with a warm sun beating down. Here are a few pictures from outside recently.
This is one of the blossoms on our nectarine tree. It is SO beautiful all covered with pink flowers.

The carrots from our winter garden. They are baby carrots and they are really tasty.

Our romaine lettuce that was a HUGE success. There is SO much of it and it is beautiful and delicious.

Our new seedlings that I planted today to get them sprouted and strong for our summer garden. We are hopefully going to have squash and tomatoes and peppers and eggplant among other things.

Recent Lucas Sitings:
He got some new books for his birthday.
This isn't posed, this is what he was doing as he was very happily "reading" his new book.

He also got a Lightning McQueen hat and gloves set that he LOVES. It has been raining a lot and he wants to wear them whenever it's raining or slightly cold.

He also likes to wear his hat while eating popcorn and watching a movie with dad.He had just finished eating a sugar cookie (okay fine, two cookies) and he was a very happy mess.

Lucas has started to act out scenes from the movie Cars with his toys. In this one he found Frank and found McQueen (it's yellow because it's a color change car) and he was insistent that I find Mater. When I did he proceeded to have Frank chase McQueen and Mater.

He said he was cold. I wrapped him up. He liked it for a few pictures, but I don't think it's what he had in mind.

Jared has been running and when he gets home he stretches and Lucas always has to join him. It's adorable!
