Here are some more pictures of our sweet little guy. He's doing great and so are we. We are really having a great time getting to know him better and adjusting to our new family life.
So, as far as more details of our labor experience, I guess I got off pretty lucky. I went in on Monday night at 7:30pm to get induced. They gave me pitocin and got my contractions started. Then they broke my water and I was able to feel the contractions. I was in a lot of pain, so I got an epidural and then they said I was a 4 and I should try to rest. I think I slept for about 30 minutes and then they checked again and said I was an 8 to 10. Then the head nurse checked and within the next 10 minutes, they called the doctor and said that they could see the baby's head and that I needed to get ready to push. The doctor showed up and I pushed about 2 times. I had to stop quick so they could cut the cord loose because it was around his neck and had been causing his heart rate to drop drastically. Anyways, it was only six hours of labor and with the epidural, I didn't feel a thing. I'm feeling it now... but that's a different story and it's getting better quickly with all of the help from my mom and sister and of course, the pampering from Jared!
