Phoenix Trip

We went down to Phoenix at the end of March and now that our camera and computer are friends again, I can post the very few pictures that I took. We spent a lot of time with Hans, Holly, and Kelsie and I got NO pictures. Also, Lucas's favorite part of the water park was the lazy river (we went around no less than 15 times), but I didn't get any pics of that either. This is him running around right before we left.

One of the only pictures of him looking at me
Running....

Running (mid-yell apparently)....

Standing Still (w0w!)
Running...

Running...
Pointing and Yelling. This is a Lucas classic.
(notice the leg) still running....

Daddy caught him. This is an attempt at a smile I believe.

Holding his tongue instead of smiling. At least the head tilt is oh-so-cute.Done running. He's awake and laying in all those pillows. I think we finally wore him out.

That night we went to a costume party for Jared's company. We were Pancho Villa and his mexican dancer girlfriend.
Picture from the party
It was a great weekend and it was so fun to see Hans and Holly and Kelsie. Thanks for all the fun guys!

Puddles in the Backyard

Lucas LOVES to be outside. Especially in the backyard right now when there is trouble to be caused. He got out the other night without his pants on and found a puddle. It made him very happy.

At least he's wearing shoes...

Smartypants found the hose

Crooked jaw thing he does that looks like his face is a little weird. He just likes to do this. He also likes to do an underbite on purpose.

Jared's Recent Project

We have been working on (read: starting from scratch on) our landscaping, and Jared decided that he could figure out and pour the concrete curbing to make a nice border to separate the landscaping from the lawn. Here are some pictures of his accomplishment now that it's finished. (Any color differences are because a few sections are still drying)

The is the second technique that he used that he liked a lot better for making the molds.

When Jared signed up for this job, he thought it would be some nice straight lines to make this border. But if I learned anything while studying landscaping at BYU, it's that flowing, curvy lines look a lot more natural and keep the eye moving through the landscape. There are places for straight lines, but this isn't it. So it was a lot more work than he anticipated.

Recent Lucas Sitings....

Wahoo! Finally some pictures. My camera and computer still aren't getting along, so for the time being we have cell phone pics.

Just finished his very own ice cream sundae. He was in heaven!

Trying to get every last drop of his ice cream.
I came into his room to get him one morning to discover that he had undone a screw on his crib somehow. He was just chilling and playing with it.

He pushed the stool over so he could get to the clean silverware on the counter.

He likes utensils a lot when he eats, but not necessarily to actually use them....

We went down to Phoenix for a weekend and Lucas really liked the king size bed with all of the fluffy blankets and pillows.

Lucas sleeping at the water park in Phoenix.

Lucas was super happy because mommy actually let him play in a fountain!

Trying on swim shorts.

Ketchup.

Looking for his belly button. He has a pudgy tummy, so it's hard for him to find it sometimes.

Eating a breadstick
He just couldn't seem to get enough of this breadstick in his mouth.

He got really tired and just laid down on the floor. For those of you who have seem him in action, you know how rare this is. The boy doesn't know how to sit still.

Drinking from the sprinkler outside. Of course I did what any good mom would do, I didn't stop him, I took his picture.

Picture-less Post

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. My computer had to be wiped clean and then I had to reinstall everything and for some reason Kodak will not download and install properly. Therefore, I have been spending all of my time doing that and other fun technical things to get my computer back on board. But when I do get it fixed, I have pictures (actually only a few, I was bad about taking pictures) of our trip to Phoenix last weekend, plus any other fun things that Lucas has done in the meantime. Hopefully I'll get to it soon!
