Lucas took his first unassisted steps this last Tuesday. He and I were just sitting in the living room and he decided that he wanted to walk the two steps it would take to get my cell phone within reach. I was shocked! He has been doing really well cruising and standing on his own, but he has not been motivated to actually take any steps, usually he just drops to his bottom and crawls away. Now he wants to practice a lot every day. He still likes it when we stay close, but he is really good at catching himself when he falls, so I think soon he'll be even more ready to walk without someone nearby.
So, in one of the videos he is really whiny... we had to wait until night to take it so there would be one to film and one to catch, and so it's close to his bedtime. He just wanted Daddy to cuddle him, so he's complaining a lot. Just turn the sound down and enjoy the cute boy!

He is getting so big!!
That's amazing! My baby turned one in September and he walks around everything just find but when you try to force him to walk and let go of his hands he will immediately sit down. Man he is a lazy boy or cautious. I guess that's better then Hunter the crazy one that has already killed one of his front teeth. But once they start walking everything changes! Your son sure is cute!
