The house is coming along. We have been spending all of our time there lately, hence the lack of posts. Anyways, we have had some surprises and discovered some of the new "tenants" in our house, so there has been no lack of excitement!

This is one of those tenants I was talking about. Yes, that is a scorpion. We found him along with about 8 of his black widow spider friends. The house had been vacant for a while, so they moved right on in.

Jared and Terrence (he came to visit this week!) prepping the kitchen for painting.

After a very long day of work and painting, we were all very tired and just cleaning up to go home. Jared headed upstairs to wash out the roller he had been using. He had to pull a huge nasty hairball out of the drain and then he rinsed it out and came downstairs to discover that all of the white paint-water had also come downstairs! Yup, that is water that they are cleaning up. The plumber came yesterday and fixed something and gave us the aok on everything.

Lucas really likes his Uncle Terrence. He likes to climb on him while he's asleep.

Sometimes, Terrence doesn't wake up no matter how hard he tries, so he just gives up and comes back later.
So, some people have been wondering (like Scott) if Lucas is happy all the time. Well, he IS a baby, so here are some pictures of when Lucas is telling us he's not happy with something.

Lucas doesn't like his carseat.

This one, he was really tired, so he stopped playing and laid on the floor and started crying.

In this one, he is doing two things
#1 He is trying to smile because he loves having his picture taken
#2 thinking, why is my mom taking my picture when I am so obviously upset?

One more smiling, just for good measure.
Anyways, it's been an adventure lately. The house is coming along. We have to be out of our apartment the end of the month, so that means this next week will be very busy again!

Neener, I'm a big fan of the picture with Lucas' half smile half crying face. It cracked me up! By the way, good luck on the house prepping. We all know that you are going to need it, especially with Lucas running around trying to find more fun scorpions friends! Love, Lolo
