Another Dancing Video

Hope you all enjoyed the pole dancing video of our sweet little boy.
However, if you found it disturbing in any way, you may want to skip this next video. I tried to post some cute ones for all of you purists out there, but the sound wasn't working on them, so I'll have to mess with it later.
I want you to know a few things before you watch this:
1. We did put him in the bowtie. It was because we were trying to get him to pole dance again wearing only a diaper and bowtie because we thought it would be funny.
2. You can't teach moves like this to a kid this young
3. The angle is funny because I didn't want him to fall off the counter
4. I personally love the squat he does with the little shake and then running his hand up his side. Where does he come up with that?
5. I also feel I should mention that these videos are from a while ago. This one is from November 1, so the pole dancing was probably a week or so before that.
And for now for your viewing pleasure....
The Mirror Act

The things we do

Lucas is going through a phase where he wants to be behind the camera while I take pictures of him so he can see them. Some cameras may allow that, but I have been having a very hard time taking pictures of him lately because of it. That is why you have been seeing a lot of cell phone pictures on the blog lately. He doesn't seem to get that I'm taking his picture on it so he lets me do it.

Ready to go downstairs after getting up in the morning with funky hair

Sorry it's dark again... he is looking at me between his legs and waving

Lining up his goldfish.
We have been counting things for him lately so now he lines them up and points to them and makes a noise that we can only guess is mimicking us saying numbers.

I was trying to get a smile out of him

There's one

He got a new tooth on the bottom this week, but there won't be pics of that for a while because it's still hard to see

We got him some ping pong balls. They are way fun since we have a tile floor.

He picked out his own outfit. He is wearing a light up WallE shirt underneath and then he saw the button down shirt he had worn to church and he wanted to wear it too. He looked way cute and was super proud of himself.

The full ensemble

His church pants are a little big, so he was running around like this all Sunday.

He loves sloppy joes. Ate two WHOLE ones by himself the other day.

Waiting for his second sloppy joe

Washing off his sloppy joe

Showing off that St Patrick's Day spirit

Playing puzzles at the library.

As my mother said, "Desert much?" I found this between my car and the garage door. And yes, it's tumbleweed.

Lucas has taken to climbing lately. He also really likes wearing his tool apron. Hence this picture. The oven was not on, I was standing next to him when he opened it, and it has since been babyproofed (for all of you worriers out there....)

Our flowering cherry tree outside. I love early spring!

Eating breakfast.

Lucas, Lucas, Lucas

So, here's some more of what the little guy does every day....
This one is sad... it's from tonight. He came home from park day and he took his nap and woke up with a huge fever. I gave him tylenol and apple juice and put in the muppets and he just sat here (either cuddling with me or alone) for almost 2 hours. This kid moves non-stop, so you know he's sick when he'll hold still.
I love the way he's holding the remote.

The bruise from where he got the swing to the head at park day

Wearing clothes in the bathtub because he spilled a grease and drippings can from the grill all over himself and everything on the back porch, so he earned a bath! There's a lovely black handprint on the side of the tub, but other than that, it's hard to see all of the mess in this picture.

How he looks when he goes down for a nap or to bed. Awake (but tired) and happy, it's crazy.

Playing in his room and trying to act innocent because he knew he was about to be in trouble because he had just been throwing blocks out the window.
He's lucky I found them all.

Sweet shades

At the playground in the sand

First time climbing all the way onto the couch all by himself.

Venturing out onto the bridge at playgroup

Pulling out all the baby wipes

We were walking through a landscaping store and Lucas was behind me and he saw this goose and he jumped back all startled. Then he stood there looking at it for the longest time and he wouldn't walk past it to me. I was just standing a few feet away laughing. When he finally decided to come to me, he put his little arms together in front of him and ran past it with his face all scrunched up. It was HILARIOUS.
Update: I took him back to this store this weekend with Jared and we happened to go by the goose again and he did almost the same thing. He was definitely startled again. I have no idea why.

Screaming because I wouldn't give him the cell phoneHappy because I showed him pictures of himself (this was literally 5 seconds later)

He had just eaten a whole piece of homemade pizza this same size and he's still eyeing another piece

Playing with the extra plans daddy brought home from work

Free cake giveaway at Walmart. Lucas was a little concerned that I wouldn't share.

Playing in the bouncy chair that he always sits in now and would almost never sit in when he actually fit in it

Giving me a dirty look from upstairs. I had just told him he could have a bath and I took off his clothes and diaper, but I didn't start the water because I heard my cell phone ring so I went to get it. Apparently, he thought I wouldn't actually give him a bath (and he loves them) so when I got to the bottom of the stairs I guess he had run out behind me and he threw his diaper at me and then glared at me. I wish I had caught the face a little clearer. He was ticked and he almost nailed me with his dirty diaper.

Dancing Video

So, Lucas was a little trouble maker today. I don't have any pictures of it, but I was convinced that he had tried to drink this can of nasty grease and stuff (I say stuff because I have no idea what it is) from the grill. He didn't do it, but he got it everywhere and ruined one of my favorite outfits that he has. Yesterday he was throwing his blocks out of a second story window. So, today for all of your (and my) Lucas loving pleasure.... I am pleased to present as a little pick me up what we affectionately call

The Pole Dancing Video

A few things about this video:
1. my favorite part (Erin pointed it out to me) is when he aligns his head before he starts dancing. So funny.
2. This is from his tongue-out phase
3. He is dancing to church music from EFY. The reason he is dressed like that is because it was before church.
4. He SO did this on his own.
